Hoop Load Bars for Load Stabilization

Hoop load bars are specifically designed to provide a larger surface area to hold cargo in place while going down the road from front to rear of the trailer. This can be ideal for providing additional stability to cargo that is top-heavy and is prone to falling over during transit. This reduces the risk of boxes or pallets tipping over and becoming damaged. Hoop bars help reduce the need for using multiple cargo bars to accomplish the same job in less time.

There are two different ways that the metal hoops are installed to traditional cargo bars: either bolted on or welded.

Bolt-on hoops are bolted on and have reduced shipping costs as they are eligible for ground shipping. Bolt-on hoop kits make storing the bars inside the rig when not in use a breeze and also help to reduce theft. Bolt-on hoop bars may require some assembly and additional time to set up before use.

Weld-on hoops are welded together to create a more permanent stability solution for professionals who haul the same type of cargo. The welds help reinforce the hoops, adding extra strength to ensure that your cargo remains securely in place and is less prone to tipping over while driving.

Hoop bars are available in sizes ranging from 89 inches to 112 inches in length. Whether you are using this hoop bar in a moving van, dry van, or reefer trailer, we have lengths that can help get the job done. The cargo bars non-slip rubber grip feet help hold the hoop bar to the interior walls and prevent it from coming loose or unsecured due to potholes in the road.

What Are Cargo Bars?

Cargo bars (also called cargo load lock bars or load distribution bars) are made from either heavy-duty steel or aluminum to prevent cargo from moving forward, backward, or from side to side of enclosed trailers. This helps to improve the safety of the driver or dockworkers when opening the rear trailer doors, as cargo shifts can cause the cargo to lean against the dock doors or even fall out toward the driver when unloading.

Cargo bars are used to help reduce costly damage claims and ensure that the cargo arrives at the next destination in the same condition it left in. Cargo bars work best when paired with dunnage airbags, which help reduce load shifts from side to side of the trailer.

Warning WARNING: Cargo bars do not have load ratings due to the varying conditions of trailer sidewalls. Ratings on the aluminum beams and steel beams are based on and tested at an evenly distributed weight.
