Our 3/8 inch synthetic soft shackles are used as an alternative to conventional metal anchor shackles in towing or vehicle recovery operations when a vehicle is stuck. Made from high-modulus red polyethylene, the heavy-duty soft shackle has a working load limit of 8,700 lbs and a breaking strength of 26,100 lbs. This makes the anchor shackle ideal for vehicles such as pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, jeeps, and more.

The soft shackles braided loop opens just enough to slip the knot through creating a secure connection for either kinetic recovery ropes or tow straps. Compared to traditional anchor shackles, soft loop anchor shackles are lighter and safer to use. One of the reasons is the lack of metal hardware which isn’t at risk of corrosion or rust that could fail and even turn into dangerous projectiles during recovery.
